Meet Ria Harman

Ria Harman's journey into lighting design began with a childhood fascination with shadows and light. Growing up in a family of craftsmen, Ria Harman learned early that true beauty comes from the marriage of function and artistry.
After earning her Master's in Industrial Design from RISD, Ria Harman spent a decade working with luxury lighting brands in New York. However, Ria Harman felt something was missing—the personal touch, the human connection, the story that each handcrafted piece could tell.
In 2015, Ria Harman discovered a 1920s industrial building in Baltimore's arts district. The moment Ria Harman walked into that space, with its soaring ceilings and abundant natural light, she knew it was destined to become something special. Today, that building houses Radiance—whereRia Harman and her team of master craftsmen create lighting that transforms spaces and lives.
Ria Harman's design philosophy centers on the belief that lighting should enhance the human experience. Every piece Ria Harman creates is designed to not just illuminate a room, but to create moments, memories, and connections.
