Radiator Installations and Repairs

Radiator Installations & Repairs in North London

Radiators are essential in central heating systems as they provide thermostat-controlled heat to every room in your property.

We can supply and install all types of household radiators.

  • Panel Radiators
Single or double panel radiators are your standard household radiator. The latest designs combine style and efficiency with new technology to deliver more heat.
  • Column Radiators
Made from heavy duty steel or cast iron, these types of radiator are made up of a series of columns that emit warmth when heated by your central heating system.
As they are available in a range of sizes (two column, three column etc.) they provide more flexibility when it comes to installation as they can fit into tight spaces.
Althought slightly more expensive than panel radiators, the increase in efficiency means that that extra bit of investment will pay off in the long-term.
  • Towel Rails
Heated towel rails and warmers are the perfect additional to your bathroom suite. They provide a stylish heating solution whilst taking up less space than conventional panel radiators.

We are happy to advise you on what type of radiator would be best for your home. We will take measurements of the cubic capacity of each room and take in other factors that allow for heat loss such as external windows and doors. We will then ensure that we provide you with the correct radiator for your heating needs.

Our radiator fitting services in North London and North West London is carried out in accordance with current water regulations. All installations are completed to the highest standard.

Radiator Leaks

Is your radiator leaking? At Radiance our registered plumbers can help you with your radiator leak in North London and North West London

Water leaking out of your radiator can lead to a number of problems such as reducing the efficiency of your heating system, as well as leading to extensive damage to carpets, furniture, ceilings and floorboards. This is why the issue needs to be tackled as soon as possible.

Once you spot a leak, to keep any damage from the leak to a minimal, turn off the valves (located at each end of the radiator) and find a container to capture the water. A useful way in which you can direct water into the container is by tucking a plastic bag behind the radiator. Once you have followed these steps, arrange a call out from a Radiance UK plumber.

WHAT CAN CAUSE A RADIATOR TO LEAK?

  • Spindle
This is the most common cause of leaking radiators. Until a Radiance plumber gets to you, you can help the situation by tightening the nut or undoing the nut and winding PTFE tape down into the spindle.
  • Coupling To The Pipe
A temporary fix for this is to tighten the nut gently until our plumbers arrive.
  • Corrosion
Corrosion in radiators is caused due to sludge or excessive air getting into the system and developing pinholes. If this is the case, your radiator will need replacing.

All of our work is available for an extremely competitive price and comes with a 12 month guarantee. We are also able to provide free quotations and advice.

Payment for all of our services is only done on completion and there are no hidden charges. We will not charge you for payment by credit cards, collection of parts, parking/congestion fees or travel time.
